Welcome to the last week of July. Wow this summer is going fast.
This week our speaker will be Christy May - Executive Director for LevelUp Kids. Join us to hear how she, and this fantastic organization are caring for the dental health of kids in Clay and Platte Counties.
In the next week you will be receiving the annual billing invoice, please be on the look out and let us know if you have any questions. Here are some changed that you will see. I know it is long but so important in our mission to keep our organization doing the good work we do. Reach out to me if you have any questions. 816-679-8324
The committee reviewed past billing/invoicing practices and passed to the board several recommendations which the board approved:
-emails were sent out to members asking how the members want to be billed, monthly/annually. If you did not respond to the email then you will be billed as you were last year. Be sure and let Ethan know about any changes you want.
-in the past only invoices with current amounts due were sent. If you missed an invoice you might not realize that it remained unpaid. In the future you will also be sent a statement if there are any past due amounts.
-due to the increased cost of everything! Meals will now be $12, up from $10. We are also looking to change meal vendors and suggestions would be appreciated.
-Club dues will also be increasing by $5 a month to reflect the increased dues the club has to pay to District and RI.

2022: $24, 866 pledged. $23,426 raised to date. Committee will be working on design of next year's event: what food to service, how to attract more sponsors, etc. This committee did not meet last week. Next meeting will be in October.
We currently have an Interact club at Liberty High School and Liberty North High School. Members are working with staff at William Jewell to find a staff sponsor so we can get a Rotaract club going in the fall. Happy dollars in August will go to support our Interact clubs.
Committee will be reviewing projects for this year:
-District Grant for this year will be to upgrade Rotary Plaza-lighting/new fabric covers/repair cement deck/free WiFi/refinish monument sign. The grant application was turned in Thursday and we should hear from the District in late September. We are not able to start work but are in the process of obtaining bids and vendors. 2023 is the 20th anniversary of the Plaza and our project will end with a Party!
Service Events: We need "team leaders" for several of our upcoming events. August-Beer Crawl, October-Witches Brew Wine Walk, November-Poinsettia sale & Plaza Christmas Decorations, Dec-Salvation Army Bell Ringing & Hillcrest Adopt a family, Spring-Shoes for Orphan Souls, Mulch Day, Make Music Day. We will be reaching out to members to step up for these service opportunities.
