Committee Update: Service
Our "Shoes for Orphan Souls" Service project is now in full swing!  Our lead "professional" shopper is Belinda Rogers. She will be working this month to encourage collection of shoes, socks, and shoe strings.  In May we will be boxing up the donations and participating in the Annual District Shoe Caravan. Stay tuned for updates!
Belinda is sponsoring a RAFFLE - for each pair of shoes, socks, or shoe strings donated members will earn one raffle ticket. Each Friday a ticket will be drawn and the winner will get a gift card for a local restaurant!    You can also earn a raffle ticket for each $5 you donate!
Not a shopper?  Click below, our pro-shoppers will do all the work!
Committee Update:  Rotary Plaza
Rotarians & Town and Country Garden club members worked fast on Saturday to spruce up the garden and the pavilion.

Can you tell it was a little WINDY ?
RI President's April Message

Friends, one of my mantras in Rotary has been do more, grow more. I am sure you are adopting this mantra. Do more, as in bigger and impactful service projects, and grow more, as in increasing our membership.

There is so much excitement across the Rotary world about our Each One, Bring One effort. Everywhere I travel, club presidents, district governors, and Rotary members — both veteran and new — express appreciation that their membership efforts are inspiring the Rotary world.

We are growing more, and I cannot wait to celebrate all of this success with you at the Rotary International Convention in Houston in June. There is still time to register and make your plans to join us. We are looking forward to a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will unite our members after far too much time apart.

Rotary Club of Parkville & Moldova Rotary Club: Ukrainian Refugee Assistance
We need your help!
As you know, the situation for Ukrainian refugees is dire. 350,000 refugees have made their way to the tiny neighboring country of Moldova, where a per capital annual income of just $4,547 means that Moldovans have only a limited capacity to assist their new guests.
Seeing this need, the Parkville Rotary Club is partnering with the Chisinau, Moldova Rotary Club on a fundraiser to assist Ukrainian refugees. Contributions collected here in the U.S. will be used by the Chisinau Rotary to buy food, supplies, and other necessities for the refugees.
Donations are being accepted through PayPal. You can pay with a credit card, debit card, or through a PayPal account. Please use this link-- https://www.paypal.com/donate/...
Donations can also be made by check, payable to Parkville Rotary Club, and mailed to PO Box 12064, Parkville, MO 64152.

Rotary  Disaster Response - Ukraine Crisis
As one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, Rotary has made peace the cornerstone of our global mission. We are deeply concerned about the Ukraine crisis and need your help.

Rotary is made up of people of action, especially in difficult times. In response to the deepening refugee crisis, The Rotary Foundation Trustees have decided to prioritize contributions made to the Disaster Response Fund until 30 April 2022 to support disaster response grants for districts affected by these events. These expedited disaster response grants can be used to supply water, food, medicine, shelter, and clothing.

Austrian Aid Convoy Delivers Supplies to Ukraine
On the evening of 2 March, Sebastian Adami, a member of the Rotary Club of Klagenfurt-Wörthersee, Austria, set out with a team of Rotaract members and colleagues from six nations to deliver relief supplies to contacts waiting near the border of Poland and Ukraine. Adami had seen images of the war in Ukraine and immediately wanted to help. He connected with others interested in raising money and supplies, and they secured the use of several trucks to drive the items all-night across Austria and Poland to the border or Ukraine. Read more of how Austrian Rotaractors used their network to channel humanitarian support into Ukraine.
