Our speaker's this week were the Rotary Friendship Exchange Team led by Ben Martin, District Rotary Friendship Exchange Chair, reporting on their trip this summer to Zambia and Zimbabwe. Lots of great stories and pictures!
Next week our speaker will be Colleen Jones, Director of College/Career Readiness & Community Partnerships from Liberty Public Schools. She always has great ideas for how our club can help the students/schools, so plan to attend to hear the latest!
August has been "Membership" Month & the club attracted two new members & one returning member. First, Angela Burton joined as a member of our "Action" Group (formerly know as our Satellite Club), she is not available on Wednesdays at Noon due to her work schedule but she is the founding member of the "Saturday Coffee Walkers" who meet the 1st Saturday of the month at Rotary Plaza. She is excited about helping with service projects. Second, Linda Hicks returned to us this past month as a fulltime member as her work schedule now allows her to attend & be an active part of the club. Third, just this week we received an application from Jamie Scheer. Jamie is a friend of Jennifer and visited the club the last two weeks. We look forward to getting to know her better!
Have a great week!

Take advantage of a wealth of training materials designed to help you learn new skills and become more successful in what you do. Check out the Online "Rotary Learning Center."
Accessing Rotary’s Learning Center is easy, and you’ll soon be taking courses and finding resources about the topics that matter to you the most. • If you haven’t used the Learning Center yet, go to rotary.org/learn, sign in to My Rotary, and accept the privacy policy to enable your access. Direct links to courses work only if you have visited the Learning Center before. • If you need to create a My Rotary account, use the same email address that your club has on file. If that email isn’t valid, ask your club secretary to update the club’s record in Rotary International’s membership database.
One of the regular visitors to Rotary Plaza, Jenita Kennedy, has shared with us some of her photographs of the Plaza and its "inhabitants" and we have started a photo album to share the photographs. We know there are other talented photographers in the area and encourage them to share their "top picks" in the album as well. Send your submissions to info@libertyrotaryclub.org
