Committee Work Day is Here!

July is an important month as we get our Calendar of Events and Schedule of Projects lined up. This Wednesday is Committee work day and you can sign up for the Rotary area you are most interested in: Service(Hillcrest Apt, Annex Committee-new, & general projects), Youth, Administration, & Butt Buster.

We are also participating in two "Pop-Up" service projects this July: tomorrow we are packing diaper kits (Julie already has our work set out for us) & Over the rest of the July we are going to collect items for "Kits for Kids". You can read more details later in the Bulletin.

There is also some information in the Bulletin about helping out those impacted by the flooding in Texas. This is not a "club" sponsored fundraiser but there are instructions so those members wanting to donate can do so directly to the relief effort.

Service Pop-Up Project: "Kits for Kids"

KITS FOR KIDS IS BACK

Children living in poverty often go back to school without the basic items needed to help them manage proper hygiene.

When we asked kids, "what do you need for back-to-school," they said they wanted to "look good" and "smell good." That is why we work with local school districts and area churches to provide low-income families with pre-assembled hygiene kits at the start of each school year. And the items aren’t those tiny, hotel size products. They are full sized hygiene items.
