Professor Trish Reay will discuss findings from recent research about the development of first opposing, and then entrenched public opinions regarding safe injection sites in Alberta. This is one recent issue that has generated support from some community members, while generating fierce opposition from others.
Prof. Reay will conclude with attention to other examples of contentious topics, and how such escalation of disagreement can be avoided.
