BayCoast Bank is a long-standing community bank providing financial products and services to the people and businesses of Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island through 24 branches and loan production offices, with more coming soon.

Lucia Rebelo, who joined the Bank in 2001, is Assistance Vice President, Financial Literacy Education Officer – a first-of-its kind position at BayCoast, which has a strong reputation for supporting education in the community.  Through a variety of engaging financial literacy programs, Lucia helps learners of all ages gain valuable money management skills that will last a lifetime. Programs offered include Money Smart, Credit for Life Fairs, K-12 financial education courses, school banking and online financial learning modules. 

These financial education programs can be customized to suit specific needs. Whether it’s a program tailored to students who want to learn the basics of a savings or checking account, or a program designed for adults who need to build up their credit so they can buy a house, all of which are free to the community.

Jen Vincent, an experienced educator and leader, currently directs the Career Center at the 
University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. With a strong background in organizational 
development, project management, and data analysis, Jen has made significant contributions in 
various educational and community service roles. Pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership at 
UMass Boston, her research focuses on the impact of adverse childhood experiences on higher 
education outcomes. Her upcoming Rotary Club presentation will explore this topic, 
emphasizing the importance of trauma-informed practices in personal and professional spheres. 
A dedicated Rotary Club of Fall River member since 2010, Jen has served as President and Vice 
President, showcasing her commitment to service, education, and community development.
