ROTARY CLUB OF FALL RIVER COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATION

The Rotary Club of Fall River is a local chapter of Rotary International whose mission is to "provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders". This all-volunteer service organization is comprised of your neighbors and friends - local Rotarians - who share ideas, solve problems, and take action to create lasting change for the common good. Rotarians live the motto of "Service Above Self" professionally and personally, and believe that we all have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues, locally and globally, and work together to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and protect our environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations serving the Greater Fall River area
- Proposals may be submitted at any time throughout the year, and will be considered by the Awards & Allocations committee on a quarterly basis
- Organizations are limited to one (1) request per fiscal year July1 - June 30
- Grant requests will not be considered for Capital Expenditures or General Operating Expenses

ROTARY CLUB OF FALL RIVER $1,000 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Rotary's mission is Service Above Self. Scholarship applicants should demonstrate a commitment to this mission in their service to others. While school and community service activities account for the largest portion of the total evaluation score, your overall high school experience is also taken into consideration.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Deadline for submission is Friday, April 26, 2024. Recipients will be notified by May 30, 2024.
  • There will be 16 $1,000 scholarships given this year.
  • This form will not accept incomplete applications. All questions must be answered and required documents attached in one sitting. You cannot save your work and return to it later.
  • Please label required documents with First & Last Name and Document Type before uploading eg. John Smith_Student Resume.
  • Applicants must reside within the Rotary Club of Fall River's service area. This includes the following cities and towns: Assonet/Freetown, Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Tiverton, and Westport.
  • If an applicant is a child/grandchild or step-child/step-grandchild of a member of the Rotary Club of Fall River, the residence requirement will be waived.
  • Scholarship recipients must attend the Rotary Club of Fall River's Scholarship luncheon meeting on June 13, 2024 to receive their award.
