Membership Applications
So you are interested in joining the Rotary Club of Fall River? Great! Interested members are asked to fill out an application which is first approved by the Board and then the general membership, so give us a few weeks to get back to you. Dues are payable 2 times a year (for membership as of July 1 and January 1.) These dues are largely paid out to our Rotary District and Rotary International for the support they provide to our club and the Rotary Magazine. You will partake in a short orientation process to learn more about the different parts of our club and the ways you can get involved. This generally happens prior to the Thursday meeting in which you are inducted. If we have multiple applications around the same time, we do group these together.
We love to see our members weekly but realize that you have other commitments as well. We suggest you plan on participating in a minimum of 2 events each month - this includes Thursday lunches/1st Thursday evening gatherings, committee meetings, service opportunities, fellowship gatherings, Board/Trust meetings and District opportunities. Committees are a great way to share your skills (and learn new ones) or work on something you are passionate about such as scholarships, the environment, service, fellowship, fundraising, or helping the club run smoothly. We are proud of our club because we work well together and that comes through knowing people on a personal level, and we do that through participation.
