Thank you to President Elect Tim Ford for stepping in for me last week as the presiding officer for our Oct. 13th meeting.
Be sure to make your way to the meeting this week as we will be kicking off our "Every Rotarian Every Year" Campaign in honor of Bill Kelly. Sandy will share more about this at our meeting.
Also, we are just a couple weeks away from Steps 4 Success so we are looking for everyone's support be it providing candy or water or volunteering to give out shoes on Oct. 28th.

- We are still collecting Men's Clothes for "Fit to be Hired". Please consider gathering no longer needed men's business wear and donating them to benefit newly resettled refugee gentlemen.
- We are also collecting candy for our Steps 4 Success. You can bring your wrapped bags of candy this week to the meeting and give it to Tim.
- We had our board meeting last night 10/19/22 so be sure to come and hear about updates and what's coming up before the end of the year.
THIS WEEK AT ROTARY: Who knows the significance of October 20th?
It's the Great Shake out! At 10:20 a.m. It's a one-minute earthquake drill involving preparedness activities.
Our speaker this week, Marsha Hovey is the Executive Director of CADRE (Collaborating Agencies’ Disaster Relief Effort) whocoordinates Santa Clara County’s network of nonprofits that prepare to assist after disasters. Marsha has been involved with public safety and community outreach for over 40 years including SantaClara County 9-1-1 Dispatch, Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Management, City of Cupertino Office of Emergency Management. After she retired in 2010, she opened a successful emergency management consulting business that has supported many organizations in the bay area. She is past president of the California Emergency Services Association, Santa Clara County Emergency Managers Association and Adelante Toastmasters.
