Last week we we had the opportunity to have a joint club meeting with the Rotary Club of Los Altos.  It was an honor to have Consul General Dmytro Kushneruk talk to us about the current situation in Ukraine.  Our very own, Harbir Bhatia’s presented on the Ukraine Aid Mission and gave us all an on-the-ground view of issues and needs arising from the war.  Thank you to both.

Los Altos president Steve Pomeroy and his club was gracious host and we were there in full force with about 30 in attendance including some online.    You should be able to view and download the photos, and you are welcome to use and share them for your own publicity purposes. 
 
 
 
  • We will be dark next Thursday, September 1st as many are traveling for the Labor Day weekend.
  • Plans are well underway for the Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival September 17 - 18 at Central Park. It's not too late to sign up to help
  • Coming right after is the Oct. 1st Santa Clara Parade of Champions. Be sure to check in with Colleen on helping with building and decorations for our float and Harbir for working the booth the day of the parade.

That's right, we are planning to have a good time just catching up with what our club members have been up to and hearing directly from each of you. But know, it may come with a price so bring your wallet or purse 😉 While I thought this was another unique first time event, I found out it's actually called the Nick Lavak Day. Come to the meeting to hear why.
