Saturday's Docent led hike along the Laguna de Santa Rosa Trail brought new sights an sounds to every hikers senses. Kites (w wings), a Peregrine Falcon, Snowy Egret, hawk, horse, dog and a multitude of human variants braved the threatening but unprecipitating clouds for an informative and gentle mile or so of pathway before enjoying lunch at Zazu's in the Sebastopol Barlow.. Docent Betsy Sanville fielded questions with Laguna Foundation Director Raney Sugg. We learned that in the early 1900's an airport occupied part of the current wetlands. Marty Behr, Organizer got us prepped and ready to trek Penny Millar flanks Laguna Foundation Director Raney Sugg set a brisk pace. 'twas once said if you want to go fast, go alone.
