Dr. Clytrice Watson is a professor of Biology and the Associate Provost for Academic and Student Service at Delaware State University. During her 14-year career at DSU, she has served in many capacities including the Interim Dean for the College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology, Associate Dean for Student Success, Director of Forensic Biology, Director for student support and scholarship and Director of the Research and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (REAP). 
Her research interest focuses on the retention and academic success of minority students in STEM disciplines.
 
Elizabeth Alvarez
Elizabeth Alvarez is the Managing Director of the Children’s Initiative at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County.  

Elizabeth Alvarez has dedicated her adult life to addressing inequities in education, the environment, and affordable housing through civic activism and community engagement. Her journey began with People Acting in Community Together (PACT) through its small school movement in 2002. She went on to become a founding parent of two small schools, LUCHA and Renaissance, in the Alum Rock neighborhood and is a founding member of ACE Charter school, serving on its board of directors since 2009. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, with a concentration in community development, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Jose State University. She is an ALF Senior Class Fellow XXIV and has been appointed to the City of San Jose Arts Commission.
