At a business meeting on April 25th, 2017 the general membership was asked to vote on a board approved motion to establish an endowment fund under the name of Rotary Club of Edmonton Strathcona through the Edmonton Community Foundation and to place an initial deposit of $10,000 from our recent casino into the endowment fund. The voting procedure and allowed discussion was expertly presented by president Dimitri. The motion was presented by Hans Granholm, seconded by Eric Solash and discussion for and against was presented by various members. The vote, by way of a ballot, was conducted and the resulting count was scrutinized. The motion was approved. Thank you to all who participated, both in person and by proxy. The club will now move forward to preserve the club's financial integrity. |
