Students at MYO in Swakopmund, Namibia This week we had a brief presentation from Carin Jansen van Vuuren on her previous visit to the Mondesa Youth Opportunities School in Sawkopmund, Mondesa, Namibia. Our club has supported several students at this school in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview. This school is the flagship project of the Rotary Club of Swakopmund. It is an after school program for promising grades four to eight students to give them more education in math, reading and computer skills to help to prevent them from dropping out of school and hopefully enable them to become responsible citizens who live and behave decently. |
