This past Tuesday we heard from our newest member Wendy Fung Reuscher. Wendy told us that she joined Rotary because she shared the Rotary goals of helping others. She said that she is very familiar with Rotary and it’s objectives through her late husband, and long time Rotary member, Bernd Reuscher. Wendy told us that she grew up in Hong Kong and moved to New York as a young woman to attend University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. She then worked in Human Resources in eastern Canada for a while before coming to Alberta to work for the Alberta government as a Government Agent for Corporate Registrations. This involves helping clients with all of the government documents and filings needed to register a business in Alberta. Most of her clients are small to medium size businesses. Wendy told us that she spends many of her non-work hours driving her teen-age daughter from one activity to another. She said that she also enjoys gardening, nature, travelling and reading. At present she is even busier with moving and setting up a new home. She said that she is really looking forward to getting to know everyone in our club better, and we look forwards to getting to know her better as well. |
