About Our Club

 

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Rotary Club!  Since its creation 61 years ago, our club has been making a difference through volunteer activities and fundraising as its members have shared the vision of working together to create and support projects to benefit needs not only in our local community but also in the Houston area and globally, adjusting our projects as times demand.

 

An enduring theme of our efforts has been to create educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and youth. In the detailed menu of our projects, you will see that locally we provide books to promote literacy among disadvantaged children, to guide after-school activities in low achieving schools, and to provide scholarships for post-high school technical training.  Internationally, our club's efforts are providing educational materials to remote villages in Pakistan, helping support homeless children in Peru, aiding peacebuilding education in high schools in the Middle-East, and contributing to Rotary International's global Polio eradication program.
