Rotary Youth Exchange, A Life-Changing Experience |

Ask any student who has lived in another country for an entire school year, or ask any family that has hosted an international student for a few months about their experience. Without exception, they will describe it as life changing.

Whether a long-term or short-term Youth Exchange program participant, students are exposed to and learn a new way of living, a great deal about his/herself, and maybe even a new language. They serve as an ambassador, teaching others about their country, culture, and ideas. Youth Exchange students can help bring the world closer – and make some good friends in the process. For over 75 years, students and host families have broadened their horizons through Rotary Youth Exchange. More than 80 countries and over 8,000 students each year participate in the program, which is administered at the regional level by Rotary districts and at the local level by Rotary clubs.
