Michael Perez will speak Dec 10 at The Rotary Club of Beaumont with an intriguing headline: “The Planet Fitness Conundrum - An entertaining look at the challenges and pitfalls we face when striving to build a robust and diverse organization.” Perez currently serves the Rotary Club of Beaumont as Immediate Past President and has been a member of the Club since 2008 serving in a variety of leadership roles including numerous stints on the strategic planning team.
Perez moved to Beaumont “temporarily” for the summer of 2006 and never left, fully embracing the power and opportunity of Southeast Texas as many transplants from other areas of the country have also done. He serves the community on several non-profit boards including The Southeast Texas Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County, The Southeast Texas Better Business Bureau, The United Way of Beaumont & North Jefferson County and formerly the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and the Southeast Texas Young Professionals Organization.
Before entering the financial sector in 2016, Perez served as the Executive Director of the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club. Previous to his time at the Salvation Army, he worked in San Antonio for American Sunrise, The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, and Character First! Education.
