When did you become a member of Rotary?  Not the date you joined, but when did you truly BECOME A MEMBER.  There is a significant difference.

Rotary University was conceptualized to assist Rotarians in the transition from joining and becoming a member.  It was initially designed in District 5840 San Antonio by Rotarian Keith Orme in 2003.

In July of 2008, Chad Blanchard became the first Dean of Rotary University in the Rotary Club of Beaumont.  It has continued under the direction and leadership of other members since that time.

Just like a real University, anybody can start working on a Rotary University degree. Members who already have a blue badge can still participate and earn a degree.  Members with a longer tenure, too, are finding it fun and interesting to earn advanced degrees in Rotary Science from Rotary University.

Moveover, new members can earn a Bachelor of Science in Rotary University and earn their Blue Badges simultaneously.

Check out our links to the left to find out about each Degree Plan and to see the graduates of Rotary University!
