LAYETTE PROJECT for MOTHERS AND CHILDREN OF NICARAGUA

ImageMost babies in the United States have warm clothes to wear, plenty of diapers and other baby necessities. In fact, many people would take those items for granted.

Unfortunately, infants born in third world countries often want for many of those simple things.

With the help of Foundation funding, items a new mother need to care for her baby are selected and purchased.  Rotarians the assemble 100 layette bags filled with cloth diapers and pins, towels and wash clothes, lotions and baby wash, baby nail clippers, some adorable baby shirts, and hairbrushes with combs for the mothers.  With assistance from Rotarians in the Houston area, the bags are shipped to those welcoming the help in Nicaragua.
