Because of social distancing regulations, one of the meetings that had to be cancelled for the year is the one we called "Youth Day: Celebrating Future Rotarians!" Because we had to miss hearing of their accomplishments and projects for the year, we invited the Interact Clubs to submit a short write up for the Bulletin that we can share with you. Today's report comes to us from Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School.
Throughout the school year, Interact Club of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School has taken charge of several service projects.
In October, Interact raised 160 dollars during Polio Week thanks to the support and cooperation of the school.
In December, the club visited St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, where we went Christmas caroling and passed out cookies to the hospital staff. The happiest moment was seeing the look on the hospital staff’s faces when they cheerfully accepted the cookies and listened to the Christmas songs we chose to sing to them.
In February, Interact Club visited the Calder Woods nursing home to pass out homemade Valentine Cards and wished them a Happy Valentine’s Day. These projects have helped us feel the difference we have made in the community, and we hope to inspire others to find happiness through service.
