Bio-Edna Alemayehu has over 10 years of experience in working in developing countries. Originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; she has a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution with a focus on International Development from American University, Washington DC. Her work in Ethiopia is broad and diversified, ranging from: agro-business, nutrition, health, water and sanitation to inter-continental trade with the Pan-African Chamber of Commerce.

Description of presentation- Africa is the most diverse and resource rich continent in the world but is also the most misrepresented and misunderstood continent. A better understanding of the continent will lead to more suitable approaches to aid but ideally to avenues where aid is no longer needed for Africa.
