Compassion Fatigue has been described as the “cost of caring" for others in emotional and physical pain. It affects all of us one way or the other. All of us are either  teachers, clinicians, administrators, caregivers, parents, daughters, or sons. Everyone at one time or other has given of  one's self for an extended amount of time.  This can lead to exhaustion, illness, and even death.
