<p ;style="text-align: left">In October of 2011, the Centennial Project Selection Committee began the very serious task of deciding upon a project for the Club which would be of the grand scope and importance so as to adequately mark the 100th anniversary of the Club's history in Beaumont.  It proved to be a difficult task, as dozens of proposals and ideas were presented for consideration. 

But, a difficult task seemed to become easier and easier as the concept became clearier to all involved.  The project had to have a far-reaching impact on our community.  It had to stand the test of time and be an enduring part of the area.  It had to bring people together and be a gift of great importance to all.

Thus, the Centennial Project became crystal clear:  we would build and gift to the city a Beaumont Rotary Centennial Playground - unrestricted, boundless, inclusive, barrier-free.  All terms meaning it will be a playground like no other in the area.  It will be a gathering place for everyone, regardless of challenge, ability, gender, age, or ethinicity.

Follow along as the concept becomes a reality, as the idea takes shape and the dream becomes the Beaumont Rotary Centennial Playground.
