Dr. Valentine assumed the presidency of Lamar Institute of Technology in August 2022. Prior to LIT, he served as chief academic and student services officer at South Florida State College, providing leadership across transfer programs, workforce education, and adult career training. His extensive experience includes academic administration, workforce development strategy, and institutional leadership.
Dr. Valentine earned his doctoral degree and Master of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C., and his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the WVU Institute of Technology in Montgomery, W.V.
