Making a better community
We believe in making our community a better place.  Whether that be through scholarships to graduating high school seniors, taking tickets at Purcell home football games, improving the walking track at the Purcell lake or making the global community a better place through operation End Polio Now and water projects in Bolivia.  Rotarians believe that together we can make a difference.

If you would like a better community, come join us.

Purcell Rotarians in Action

Purcell’s Teachers of the Year were honored at the Purcell Rotary Club’s weekley meeting April 3. Pictured with Rotary President Graham Fishburn (far right) were, from left, Barbara Allen – Elementary School Teacher of the Year, Stephanie Knowles – Intermediate School Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year, Steve Clary – Junior High School Teacher of the Year and Kurt Gray – High School Teacher of the Year. Each teacher was presented with $50. Knowles was presented with $100.
The women of Purcell's Trinity United Methodist Church have been serving up the best food in the state for our Rotary Club for over 100 years! It's no secret and Purcell is a frequent destination for visiting Rotarians looking for a make-up meeting with a great meal.
The first set of triplets to ever attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp were the Fishburn siblings, Pehrson, Manon and Johana. The high school seniors joined us at a meeting this summer to see their father, Graham, be installed as President of the Purcell Club.

Did you know that Rotary awards scholarships for college?
Or that they send high school students to leadership camp?
Rotarians also volunteer their time at high school football games, track meets and community work days.
If you're interested in joining the Purcell Rotary Club stop by for a meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church at noon on a Wednesday and see what Rotary is all about!

The Purcell Rotary Club awarded four scholarships to graduating seniors.
Congratulations to the Purcell Rotary Club on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.
The club was chartered March 30, 1923 and was the first Rotary Club in the world in a city under 3,500 population.
At the Rotary Club of Purcell, we put a strong emphasis on attendance.  This year, we awarded perfect attendance pins to over half our members.
