First, an update on Yvette’s progress back to mobility. She’s grinding her way through the rehab pain… full of enhanced respect for Rob’s experience of both hips within a short time, one while in Spain. Yvette is still on Calvary’s 7th floor, close to the pool for exercise till she leaves on Thursday - so think of her on Australia Day. Then the vital transitional week with her sister while her mobility and self reliance begins to return.
By the time you read this you’ll hopefully have seen and completed Monday’s survey to clarify member views about future meeting preferences. We will soon be able to evaluate and analyse responses to reach an agreeable path forward. Till then our next breakfast meeting will be a trial gathering at South Tce Croquet Club on 9 February… more detail later.
Erfan gave his usual high standard talk for Adelaide City Rotaract Club members at the Astor on Monday night and is also speaking at Modbury Rotary Club on Tuesday. Good work Erfan! Many miles and hours raising awareness of Afghanistan’s plight.

McLaren Vale is renowned for its excellent shiraz and this Chalk Hill Shiraz represents wonderful value, normally $22 per bottle, our club's fundraising offer is just $150.00 for a dozen. ($12.50 a bottle)
This delicious, easily drinkable wine is clean and smooth without unpleasant tannin aftertaste, so it's rapidly becoming a favoured wine.

The world's first fully computerized airliner was ready for its maiden flight without pilots or crew.
The plane taxied to the loading area automatically, its doors opened automatically, the steps came out automatically. The passengers boarded the plane and took their seats. The steps retreated automatically, the doors closed, and the airplane taxied toward the runway.
"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen," a computer voice intoned. "Welcome to the debut of the world's first fully computerized airliner. Everything on this aircraft is run electronically. Just sit back and relax. Nothing can go wrong ... Nothing can go wrong...nothing can go wrong...."
