Rob, Di and all our BBQ team did an outstanding job in the last week of book-ended snag sales at Bunnings. Thanks to all concerned for the $1800 or so each time that definitely helps offset the $700 or so from normal weekday Monday outings. See photos below.

Because we’ve deferred our normal dinner meeting as our Club Changeover Dinner, this Thursday is another Coffee Conversation at White Picket Café. The Changeover Dinner on Thursday June 29 is in the Caledonian Inn’s Barton Room in North Adelaide. If you hurry, you can still book via Yvette here.

On Saturday July 29th there will be a tree planting event with the Council. It'll be from 930-12 at a site on Mann Tce in North Adelaide
It will run similar to last year, starting with a site induction and planting demonstration. They'll supply gloves and will have all the tools and plants ready to go on the day.

A woman takes her dog to the vet, saying it’s not it’s usual lively self.
The vet carefully examines the dog and ruefully declares, “Madam, I have to tell you, your dog is dead”. Then after a pause, "my fee is $50”.
The woman doesn't accept this diagnosis and says, ‘I want another opinion”.
So the vet call in his cat, which circles the dog and paws at it a little then walks over to the vet with a sad, glum expression.
Still the woman is unprepared to accept the diagnosis and asks for further confirmation, at which the vet whistles in his labrador dog, which duly sniffs her dog and backs off.
The vet says, "I’m sorry Madam but your dog really is dead and my fee is now $500.”
Incensed, the woman declares "That’s outrageous… how do you justify such a huge fee”
The vet shrugs and says, ‘Well after the cat scan and the lab results...
