What a week, but we survived thankfully.
 
This coming Thursday I am looking forward to our Share the Dignity project. The response has been excellent and I have more items to collect from Coast FM. Kirsti has arranged for a guest speaker from Share the Dignity and some volunteers to assist us with the packing and hopefully some Rotaractor members will be joining us for breakfast as well.
 
Please remember to RSVP to me in regard to attendance by Tuesday at 5pm.
 
Following our breakfast meeting, our monthly board meeting will take place.
 
The Club's AGM is planned for Thursday 10th December as part of our breakfast meeting.
 
Margie Steffens is the guest speaker at the Rotary club of Adelaide Parks this coming Wed. 25th.Nov. at the Naval, Military and Airforce Club and I plan to attend.
 
Saturday 5th.December sees the beginning of our Christmas Tree sales at On The Run at the corner of Pulteney and Angus Streets, plus our regular location at Bunnings Kent Town which we began in Dec. 2015.Please spread the word amongst family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.To make things interesting we are also at Bunnings Mile End conducting their BBQ on Sat 5th. Dec.
 
Please remember that we need all the Grange Raffle books (sold or unsold) returned at our breakfast meeting on Thursday 10th. December and it is your responsibility.
RC Adelaide - "Not the Test Match" dinner
 

It's on again...

Not the Test Match Dinner will be held at 6.30pm on Wednesday 16 December at a new venue – the National Wine Centre.

The cost is $130 per head for a lovely three course meal and drinks.
Our guest speaker will be internationally acknowledged author and journalist Gideon Haigh, the “Australian’s “ cricket specialist who will talk about his career and about Indian cricket and its impact on the game world-wide.

We will also be talking during the evening to Indian batting legend, VVS Laxman, live from India (on the big screen) about his own career and the upcoming Test series between India and Australia.

In addition, former Zimbabwe fast bowler and well known opera singer, Henry Olonga, will compere the evening and also sing for us.
 
There will be provision for 240 guests and still meet the COVID requirements. Tickets can be purchased from  Rob Falconer, Barry Noble or D'Arcy Walsh.

Chairman: Meet/greet speaker for the meeting; introduce and thank speaker. Preparation:- find details about  the speaker prior to the meeting.
Attendance: Set up reception table (attendance sheet; members list – re -payments; guest welcome sheet; money); register member payments/ apologies/ guests.
Hosting: Welcome all at the door; ensure speaker and guests are introduced to appropriate persons.
Furniture: Flags; banner display;  Rotary theme banner; gong and hammer; lectern position before and returned after the meeting. Computer set up – Connect to projector. Switch on. Hold function key & press F5 twice.
Bottles/cans: Collect bags of bottles/cans at meeting and take to recycle centre for refund, pass refund to Bruce McDonald and empty bags to the next duty member, at the next meeting.
Rotaract: Meets alternate Mondays at 6pm (for a 630pm start) at the General Havelock Hotel in Hutt Street.
Bread Run: Sundays, meet outside Romeo's, North Adelaide at 4:55pm

Members rostered for Thursday morning duty are asked to be in attendance by 6.45am

If you cannot attend, please arrange a substitute
