Last week instead of our customary Thursday meeting, we held a joint breakfast meeting with the Rotary Club of Adelaide South on Friday April 1st. Even though there had been some consternation that this was to be an April Fools Day joke, sixteen of our members were able to attend and hear of the work their club is involved in under the leadership of President Robert. Guest speaker was Shane Daniell from Direction Works who spoke of his work as a life coach and gave us some insights on what drivers we need to identify in our own lives. We are hoping that Shane will visit our club on a future date to expand on his learnings. Past District Governor John presented Shane with an eggcup on behalf of the club.
Currently 21 people indicated they will be attending the April 14th, 4pm Tour of the Adelaide Oval, conducted by our very own Dean Sullivan, followed by a meal at the Queens Head, North Adelaide. Cost is $17 for the tour, payable on the day.
If you, your partner and friends are unable to be part of the tour, please feel free to join us at the Queens Head.
‘Leading Rotary Now’ is specifically designed for Presidents Elect and Club Leaders. The dates of training will be in the District Dispatch for incoming Presidents and Club Leaders in Adelaide, Port Augusta and Alice Springs for the 2016/2017 Rotary year, the first of which is on Saturday 9th April in Adelaide.
DGE John Pohl would like to personally invite all Presidents Elect to attend.
