There is no meeting this week, however there will be a coffee conversation on Thursday 15 August at 9.30 am at the White Picket Coffee House, 10 Stuart St, Dulwich. Everyone is welcome.
Our next official meeting is a breakfast meeting on Thursday 22 August at the Stamford Plaza Hotel.
Members are reminded that there is a Bunnings BBQ on Tuesday 20 August at Mile End. Di Lane has prepared the roster for the day and all spots have been filled. Our last BBQ was very successful with customers queuing up regardless of the rain. Hopefully, we’ll have better weather next week.
Last week we were shown the many benefits for participants and the broader community that can come from Rotary’s Group Study Exchange Program. Our guest speaker, Amber Shreeve, a Sergeant in the South Australian Police force, talked to us about what she learnt from vocational visits during her Group Study Exchange to Missouri, USA. She was able to observe different interagency practice in domestic violence policing and other agency interventions that will help inform her work and South Australian policing in the future.
