Last Friday was our last Friday barbeque at Bunnings at Kent Town which gave us a modest amount. Our last BBQ. for this year is at Bunnings at Kent Town on Sunday 18th. November and Di is seeking volunteers.
This coming Saturday morning will be our last working bee at Catherine House under the wonderful direction of Kym Pedler.
This Sat. 10th. Nov. I am joining the Rotaractors at 5.30pm. in Rymil Park to walk with them in Adelaide's Pride March, together with David and Chris Egan. Club members are very welcome to join us.
Don Tindale has reminded me that with Christmas fast approaching we need to plan collecting toys for the Salvos and money for the Christmas Hamper.
This coming Thursday, Di Lane will be taking your annual order for Rotary Christmas Cakes and Puddings.
Remember to place in your diary the club's Christmas Croquet on Friday 30th. Nov. at 6pm at the South Terrace Croquet Club at a cost of $40.00 which includes a meal and a game/s of croquet.
We have accepted the Rotary Club of Eastwood's invitation to share a Christmas Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday 19th. December at the Royal Coach. This will replace our Thurs. 20th. meeting.
This coming Thursday 15th. our regular meeting at the Royal Coach is a Planning Meeting where we will be asking all our members if we want to continue meeting fortnightly or reverting back to weekly?
The second question to be asked is whether we move into the city or remain at the Royal Coach?

As part of our engagement with the South Australian community, we are encouraging all Rotaractors and Rotarians to participate in the Adelaide Pride March on Saturday 10 November 2018 to show our support for the LGBTIQ+ community, and demonstrate that Rotary is a diverse and inclusive organisation.
The march leaves Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka at 6:30pmfor Pioneer Women’s Memorial Garden via Rundle St, Frome St, Frome Rd, Victoria Drive and Kintore Ave. We will gather at Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka from 5:30pm.
Participation in the march is free, however, we have designed NEW Rotaract t-shirts for anyone who would like to wear one which will help us have a great visual impact on the day to promote Rotaract and Rotary in South Australia.
The cost of t-shirts has been subsidised by Rotary District 9500 so are only $10 to order if you would like one. T-shirt orders must be received no later than Thursday 1 November 2018 and can be ordered via My Booking Manager at http://e.mybookingmanager.com/E1071510184253where you can see what they look like as well.
Despite being Rotaract t-shirts, we would still love Rotarians to wear one so we all stand out. However, if you or any of your members are interested in marching but do not wish to purchase a t-shirt, we ask that you email us at adelaidecityrotaract@gmail.com to assist us in gauging the level of likely participation, and allow us to advise participants of the exact meeting point for our group once advised by the event organisers.

‘What is ‘It's In The Bag?’
Each year Share the Dignity collects handbags filled with personal care products. These Christmas gifts are then distributed to homeless, at-risk and women experiencing domestic violence.
What can I donate?
Choose a handbag you no longer use or buy a new one, then fill it with items including shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, sanitary items and anything else you can think of that will make a woman feel special.’
I am hoping that some of you might have some largish handbags or small backpacks that you no longer need and are happy to donate. I will fill and take to Bunnings for collection. I would also appreciate any donations to fill the bags as well. I will be delivering the bags by the end of November.
Please bring your bags along to our meeting on Thursday 22nd November.
Adelaide City Rotaract Club will be hosting a movie night to see the next installment of Fantastic Beasts at the Capri Theatre on opening night, November 16th at 6pm. We are sure that it's going to be another magical evening and we hope to see many club members, friends, and family there.There will be doughnut bombs for sale, a raffle, and 15% of all bar sales will be going towards the funds raised on the night.
We are supporting Sight for All, a local charity who aim to people worldwide with the magic of sight by delivering health care projects free of charge to those who need it most. More information on Sight for All can be found on their website: https://sightforall.org/
