President's Pen
A reminder that the funeral service for our esteemed member Dr Phil Harding is this coming Friday morning (11th June) at 9am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cathedral, 39 Wakefield St. Adelaide. Please remember that you may be required to wear a mask.

This Saturday morning, we held our first Chat To Belong coffee morning at Cafe On The Square which was attended by 14 people and chaired by Andries. Everyone agreed that it was very successful and the newcomers to Adelaide were from Columbia and Iran.

At last Thursday morning's Coffee Conversation, it was lovely to catch up with David Rowe and afterwards John W. and I had coffee with President Heidi of the Adelaide Club to catch up and swap ideas. Even though the two clubs are of quite different sizes, some of the challenges and positives are similar.

I plan to attend the Adelaide City Rotaract Club's Changeover at Sparkke on Wednesday 7th. July and of course I have booked to attend our club's Changeover Dinner on Thursday 1st. July at the Sage Hotel. Shortly John W will be emailing all the attendees with payment instructions.

Already 17 people have indicated they plan to join us on the club's Train Trip on Sunday 1st. August. Do You?

John Campbell reports that his last treatment is this coming Monday morning which he is looking forward to as it has not been very pleasant and then he is to begin physio for his hip which will include hydrotherapy.

Our next breakfast meeting is this coming Thursday at the Sage Hotel and I look forward to seeing you there. Please remember to rsvp to me by Tuesday evening.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.
