We had another gathering of members for a pleasant coffee conversation last Thursday morning, this time at the reopened Stables where we sat outside in the sunshine.
This morning we had a successful working bee at Catherine House moving a tip truck load of paving earth around to the rear of the building and spreading it out in readiness for paving. Thee Rotaractors assisted us, Gregory, Santhny (from Malaysia) and Khoung (from Vietnam).
This coming Sat. 22/9 at 8.30am, we will be again conducting a working bee at Catherine House, this time wheelbarrowing a load of paving sand to the now erected pergola site , plus other assorted tasks as directed by project manager, Kym Pedler.
This coming Friday ,21/9 we will be once more at Bunnings at Kent Town hoping to smash our Friday record.
On Thursday 27th. September is another Coffee Conversation with a difference........
Instead of gathering at 9.30am. we will be Meeting at 7am. for 7.15am. start at the Cafe Outside The Square, 34 Whitmore Square, Adelaide where we will trial another location for our Club meetings.
Remember that the club's next social function is on the evening of Friday 5th. October on the balcony (and inside) of the Riverside Rowing Club overlooking the Torrens River from 6pm. including dinner for just $20.00. Club bar will be available. Smart Casual.
All members are very welcome to bring some friends. Please rsvp. to John W.

Chairman: Meet/greet speaker for the meeting; introduce and thank speaker. Preparation:- find details about the speaker prior to the meeting. Attendance: Set up reception table (attendance sheet; members list – re -payments; guest welcome sheet; money; wine raffle sheet); register member payments/ apologies/ guests. Hosting: Set up name badges display; welcome all at the door; ensure speaker and guests are introduced to appropriatepersons. Furniture: Flags; banner display; raffle balls; collection boxes; Rotary theme banner; gong and hammer; lectern position before and returned after the meeting. Computerset up – Connect to projector. Switch on. Hold function key & press F5 twice. Bottles/cans: Collect bags of bottles/cans at meeting and take to recycle centre for refund, pass refund and empty bags to David Rowe at next meeting. Rotaract: Meets alternate Mondays at 6pm (for a 630pm start) at the General HavelockHotel in Hutt Street. Bread: Sundays, meet outside Romeo's, North Adelaide at 4:55pm
