President's Pen
This week due to coronavirus distancing requirements, we will be having our first ZOOM online meeting commencing at 7.30 am. The monthly Board meeting will commence immediately after the conclusion of the Club meeting. For members who are using ZOOM technology for the first time please start joining the meeting at 7.15 am in case you need to change the settings on your computer, laptop or phone. For members using a smart phone you can download the ZOOM app that is appropriate for your phone from the relevant App store.

Our scheduled guest speaker for this week, James Gardiner, has postponed his talk about ‘A day in the life of an intensive care paramedic’ until we return to face-to-face meetings. While this is disappointing with no guest speaker for our first online meeting, we will have more opportunity to fine tune how we conduct these meetings.

In relation to our Catherine House projects, we have received correspondence from Catherine House advising us that in order to ensure the best health and safety outcomes for Catherine House and their supporters during the COVID-19 outbreak they have made the decision to temporarily postpone in-kind donations coming from the public.  This means that all our volunteering activities at Catherine House are cancelled until we hear otherwise.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement
