Last Thursday's breakfast meeting was a great success with 25 people attending to listen to Dr Geoff Higgins present very successfully, "Coronavirus and the Prospects for an Effective Virus", for the layman. It was wonderful to have so many guests including Margie Harding, Paul Ensor, past member Dr Chris Dibden and Rotaractors Gregory White, Karagh Loring, Alana and her mother Liz Cuthbert. Alana leaves for Canberra very shortly to continue her studies, commencing a Masters at ANU. Paul Ensor coaches Bruce, John W. and myself in the game of croquet which we play every Tuesday evening at the South Terrace Croquet Club and he has expressed interest in joining Adelaide Light. Tomorrow evening, Monday 18th is the first meeting for 2021 of the Presidents of Area 12 which includes seven inner city Rotary Clubs plus two Rotaract Clubs and the agenda includes discussing possible joint projects. Please pop in your diary that the breakfast meeting on Thursday 22nd April will be replaced by a Area 12 Dinner meeting on Wednesday 21st April at the Adelaide Oval to celebrate the centenary of Rotary with the Adelaide Club and the other Area 12 clubs including the Rotaract Clubs, which should be a great evening with more details to follow. Our next breakfast meeting is on Thursday 28th. January which will be followed by our monthly Board meeting. Please remember to let me know by Tuesday 26th of your attendance, as last Thursday I had six surprise attendees.
