Last week’s breakfast meeting at the South Tce Croquet Club was another success, particularly for its communication and camaraderie opportunity. Stuart does an excellent job as MC and was especially forthcoming. We wish him well in the evolving story of his love life and you now have a conversation starter, if needed.
Our Bunnings BBQ on Monday’s holiday was encouragingly profitable, despite the competition from WOMAD and Festival/Fringe attractions. Thanks to Rob, Di, Don, Alison, Elaine, Paige, Kirsti, Fatemeh, Dean, Graham Smith and his friend Keith. Special thanks to Bruce from stepping in at the last minute and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Paul Ensor whose back is giving him particular grief.
By the time you read this, Kirsti and her Community Services team will have held another meeting, so there will be more to tell on this score next week.

International Women’s Day events last Wednesday offered some excellent speakers. I heard Professor Nicola Spurrier at Adelaide Rotary speak of her challenges as Chief Public Health Officer during a pandemic - both entertaining and impressive.

Attendance: Set up reception table (attendance sheet; members list – re -payments; guest welcome sheet; money); register member payments/ apologies/ guests. Hosting: Welcome all at the door; ensure speaker and guests are introduced to appropriatepersons. Furniture: Flags; banner display; Rotary theme banner; gong and hammer; lectern position before and returned after the meeting. Computerset up – Connect to projector. Switch on. Hold function key & press F5 twice. Bottles/cans: Collect bags of bottles/cans at meeting and take to recycle centre for refund, pass refund to Bruce McDonald and empty bags to the next duty member, at the next meeting.
