Hi, Rotarians and Friends.
 
There is no meeting this Thursday 22 September on the national day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II.  Our next meeting will be 6pm at the Astor Hotel on Wednesday 28 Sept as a joint meeting with Adelaide City Rotaract.  Please let Rob know as soon as possible if you can come to this one.
 
This Saturday 24th is another ‘Chat 2 Belong’ session from 9:45am till 11:30 at my house (51 Seafield Ave, Kingswood).  So if you know anyone new to  Australia who might benefit from a social meet’n’greet opportunity, bring them along but let Alex know (alex.yepes@outlook.com.au).  Rather than a café venue, this informal home-based chat aims for the social emphasis that seems preferred.  Rotarians who can attend, please confirm with Alex.
 
Rob is seeking volunteers for our next Bunnings BBQ on Monday October 3.  This is a public holiday, so hopefully more can now volunteer and the resulting revenue also usually improves.  Fundraising like this underpins everything we do, so please try to help. 
 
Our Mentoring and Community Service groups met this Tuesday 20th.  Your Club’s Board meets next at 6pm Thursday 29 Sept and we’ve filled the two observer spots but if you’re particularly keen to come along… do let me know.   
 
There’s an informal bushwalk for members and friends on Saturday October 1st 9:30 to 11:30am from Blackwood.  We already have some keen starters but let me know (john@wothers.net) if you’d like to join us. 
 
Otherwise, Eastwood and Regency Park Rotary Clubs have an Australian Health Foundation fundraiser walk on 9 October… $25 each, $10 for teens, dogs welcome.  It starts 8:30am on Beaumont Road in the city for a 5km walk and 9am for a 3km version.  Click here to register.

Chairman: Meet/greet speaker for the meeting; introduce and thank speaker. Preparation:- find details about  the speaker prior to the meeting.
Attendance: Set up reception table (attendance sheet; members list – re -payments; guest welcome sheet; money); register member payments/ apologies/ guests.
Hosting: Welcome all at the door; ensure speaker and guests are introduced to appropriate persons.
Furniture: Flags; banner display;  Rotary theme banner; gong and hammer; lectern position before and returned after the meeting. Computer set up – Connect to projector. Switch on. Hold function key & press F5 twice.
Bottles/cans: Collect bags of bottles/cans at meeting and take to recycle centre for refund, pass refund to Bruce McDonald and empty bags to the next duty member, at the next meeting.
Rotaract: Meets alternate Mondays at 6pm (for a 630pm start) at the Cumberland Arms Hotel, 205 Waymouth St. Adelaide.
Bread Run: Sundays, meet outside Romeo's, North Adelaide at 4:55pm

Members rostered for Thursday morning duty are asked to be in attendance by 6.45am
