This is my last report for the Rotary year and I am sure that John's writing skills will surpass mine when he takes over on Thursday evening as the incoming President of our club.The Changeover dinner promises to be an entertaining night with District Governor Elect Jeff Neale and his wife Jenny amongst our guests.Our Changeover Dinner, this Thursday 1st July will be the first function for the newly re-badged Terrace Hotel, formally the Sage. Today, Sunday 27th June saw a small team of volunteers plant tube and potted native stock at Narnungga (Park 25) in very wintery conditions. The next dates for working on the Catherine House gardens project (mark two) are Saturday 3rd and 10th July, please contact Katey if you can help. Our first lot of volunteers rostered to help on Fred's Van is set for Wednesday 21st. July and this will occur every 3 weeks. This is another shared project with the Adelaide City Rotary Club. After the success of the first Chat to Belong coffee morning, the next one is planned for Saturday 21st. August, please let Kirsti know if you can participate. The Joint Bush-fire Recovery Fencing working bee with the Adelaide City Rotaract Club is now planned for Saturday 11th. September in the hills at Tillbrook's Winery, who will be supplying lunch (and wine?) so please let Kirsti know if you can participate. Members will have received a notification that Paul Jupp and Alison Cater wish to transfer from the Mitcham Club to Adelaide Light which is further clarification that our club is heading in the right direction I look forward to seeing most of you on Thursday evening, Best wishes, Rob Planting at Narnungga (Park 25) |
