Thank you to Di for assisting in organizing one of the busiest weekends that our club has been involved with. The barbeque at Bunnings at Mile End was a challenge as we adjusted to the new Covid requirements and the weather that hit us during the third shift. I held onto the tent roofs whilst Angus cooked and Di & Katrina continued to serve, it was wild. We sold $1890 and finished with a profit of $1250.89 For the first time since we began our Christmas Tree sales in 2015, we sold from two locations. Naturally OTR in the city was slow, but over time I am confident that it will grow. However Bunnings at Kent Town provided us with a lot of returned customers and in total we sold 44 trees providing us with a net profit of $ 1346.40 Thank you to everyone who volunteered and of course we have two more weekends in front of us to hopefully reach our target of $4,000 in tree sale profit. The Grange Raffle sales have gone very well and we need all the tickets returned by this Thursday as it is being drawn on Friday 11th. at the Riverside Rowing Club during our Christmas evening with the Adelaide City Rotaract Club. Currently we have 29 people who have indicated that they will be there which is great. Our meeting this coming Thursday 10th. December will include our AGM and the guest speaker will be my daughter Rebecca Davies speaking about her profession, Music Therapy. This will be followed by the monthly Board meeting. This will be our final breakfast meeting for 2020, however we are planning another coffee conversation on Thursday 17th. Dec. I want to send out a special cheerio to John the Jeweller who has come down with glandular fever.
