This week, Richard Jarrett will be bringing our NYSF attendee for 2020, Poppy Pilmore, as a guest to the meeting.

After our last meeting, held on World Polio Day, the Board approved a donation of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation for the credit of the End Polio campaign.  The Board also approved a donation of $1,000 in recognition of Mental Illness Month to the Australian Rotary Health – Lift the Lid on Mental Illness campaign.

Next Tuesday, we start our new volunteering project at Ronald McDonald House with some members preparing and sharing a meal with House residents.   The Club will supply the ingredients for the meal preparation which must be carried out on the premises.

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.

Jokes Corner

What am I?

I’m something people love or hate.

I change their appearances and thoughts.

If a person takes care of themselves I will go up even higher.

To some people I will fool them.

To others I am a mystery.

Some will try to hide me but I will show.

No matter how hard they try I will not go down.

John W. will provide the answer for those left wondering.
