Ross Turner

WELCOME ONE AND ALL!
To the 2020-2021 Montrose Rotary Club year
serving the Montrose community for over 100 years
President of the Montrose Rotary Club a century old force in the Montrose community contributing a multitude of volunteer hours, many hundreds of thousands of dollars and always a forward vision for the community is a challenging and humbling endeavor. It is an honor to be chosen to serve as your president this 2020-21 year. It is an honor I accept and will work hard to deserve.
The goals for this year include but are not limited to:
- Support, financially and physically, the essential workers being challenged by the COVID pandemic: schools, staff and teachers, medical facilities and their personnel, first responders, the police and sheriff’s department.
- Plan, develop and execute the 100th Montrose Rotary Club celebration.
- Increase and diversify the membership of the Montrose Rotary Club by 10 new members.
To better protect and serve our fellow Rotarians during this pandemic, we are offering our traditional in person meeting (with health department recommendations in place) and a digital zoom option every Tuesday at 12 pm. in the conference room at the Bridges Country Club. We have had many outstanding programs of late. The Oral History of Telluride by John Stevens, Technical College of the Rockies by Director Allen Golden, a “field trip” to Museum of the Mountain West, with many more exciting and informational programs throughout the Rotary year. You will not want to miss. The friendship and welcoming atmosphere are always a highlight of every meeting. We especially would like to welcome previous Rotary alumni members and encourage you to renew your membership and once again be a part of this vital and exciting force in the Montrose community.
For prospective members, we offer a rare chance through the Montrose Rotary Club and Rotary International to really make a difference world wide in eradicating polio and bringing clean water to peoples all over the world while furthering good will and mutually beneficial friendships both here and abroad.
Feel free to contact me at either options below if you would like to join us in serving. It is going to be an exciting and rewarding year. Come be a part.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Lynn (Johnson) Schneider, Pres.
