Rotary District Governor Reg Madison joined our meeting on September 13, 2017, to give us an update on what is happening at District 7090 this year and to help us present a cheque in the amount of $25,000 to Inasmuch House, one of the local charities that we were able to support this year. Reg forwarded the following note to President Jane Blums after our meeting which Jane has asked be shared:
Dear President Jane and the Rotary club of Hamilton AM,
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality at our club visit last week. We enjoyed our visit, getting to know you, your board and your members better. We left the meeting feeling re-energized and ready for our next round of club visits.
Jane, you were well prepared for our board meeting with concise yet thorough pre-work. Your board is knowledgeable, professional and committed to Rotary. There’s great comradery within the club. You community should be proud of your club.
I was honoured to present the $25,000 cheque to the In As Much House recipients of your Diamonds and Denim event. We enjoyed chatting with Irene and Yolanda about their upcoming auction item – preparing European food in your home. Finally, thank you for your donation to Polio Plus on my behalf. 25 more children will be in safe hands thanks to you. PS - we appreciated the tech support!
