Wes Allen, Director of Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center
Our guest speaker on Friday, June 9th was Wes Allen, Director of Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center in Everett. The program is a continuation of our annual "State of the School District" series. This year, we expanded our speaker outreach by having the Director of Sno-Isle TECH Skill Center as our program.

The programs at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center are an extension of the available courses for high school students. Sno-Isle is a public school that prepares high school students to be successful in a high-tech work force or to go on to further their education and training.

Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center is located near Paine Field in Everett and is a cooperative effort of fourteen local school districts. The purpose of the skills centers like Sno-Isle TECH is to provide preparatory training, certification, and post-secondary credit to students who can than choose to continue their education, go straight to work or both. There are twenty-two--soon to be twenty-four--programs offered at Sno-Isle TECH representing five pathways.
Interact 2023
The scene above is the Interact Club's last meeting of the 2022-2023 school year. In celebration, our Rotary Club provided pizzas to go along with the many treats provided by Interact Club Advisor Kristin Odegaard. Another amazing year of service to the community logging a massive number of hours due in large part of the leadership of the Club and its Advisor. Our Club wants to thank the Lake Stevens High School Interact Club for their service and a big shout out to Kristin for her role in creating a successful year.
