This past weekend was the 2024 Rotary District 5050 Conference. The theme was We Are Family and the three speakers on Saturday used this theme to encourage attendees to think of Rotary as a family. Past District Governor Kelly Atkinson (5420), District 5040 Governor Shirley-Pat Gale, and grief counselor Dr. Kate Eastman, provided inspiration insights into the importance of healthy families. James Monroe, Randal & Lin Southam, Club President Don Iverson The Conference concluded with Amnol Magic, an illusionist from the Vancouver, BC area, who provided a spell-binding program. It was a great day for fellowship and stimulation. On Friday evening about two dozen Rotarians, spouses and children had a great time bowling. On Sunday about 30 people gathered at Camp Korey to help the Camp get ready for summer. There were a variety of projects to be done. Read next month's Peace Arch Journal for complete details.
