This Week's Meeting
This week's meeting includes a presentation by Ethan Hansen and Derek Kaye, co-founders of Whispr Innovations, a robotic lawn mowing and battery electric landscaping company. Their mission is to provide high-quality services that are better for our health, reduce noise and that doesn't contribute to air pollution.

Don't forget about the Board Meeting next week on Tuesday. All members are invited.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Secretary, Gary O'Rielly know.

Thank you to all of our sponsors. They are listed below. When you patronize them make sure to mention that you are a Lake Stevens Rotarian!

KLA HA YA DAYS festival
Our guest speaker on Friday, February 10th was Bill Webster, President of Kla Ha Ya Days festival who shared information about the non-profit organization which has served the community for 120 years. Currently working on re-branding the organization. Sent out questions with responses nearing 30,000. Re-branding will cover the organization's core values and partnerships with local non-profits such as our Club. Currently developing guides and handbooks for clearly defined expectations and case use.

Hyper-focused on creating a better experience for businesses affected by the festival. The organization's goal is to increase financial transparency and heightened awareness of profit distribution. Shuttle buses will be available, which should help with the flow of traffic. Bill asked our Club to sponsor a booth at the festival which is under consideration. For more information, you can go to the website, www.klahayadays.com for further information.
YAIL 2023
Help your local youth learn to become great members of your community by supporting them to participate in District 5050's Youth Adventures in Leadership (YAIL).

YAIL is a three-day event that helps students develop leadership and team building skills and contributes to positive personal growth. These students are future Rotarians and will become leaders in their communities, schools, and Rotary Interact and Rotaract.

This Rotary year, YAIL will be in person March 31 – April 2 at the Alexandra Neighborhood House in Surrey, BC.

Students who have attended YAIL and their parents have personally told me how wonderful the program is and how it has had such a positive impact on their sons and daughters. Remember, children of Rotarians can attend YAIL.

Note that Youth Exchange students in our District are expected to attend. Also, Youth Exchange students who will be going to other countries later this year are also expected to attend.

The cost of sponsoring a student to attend YAIL is just $325, so please find it in your budget to help provide new leaders for this world.  Two posters are attached for your club to use (with cost) and for public use (no cost on the poster).
Thank you,
