This Week's Meeting

This week we are having a Club Assembly at the IHOP at Frontier Heights! Join us at 7:30 for a fun time learning more about our Club! You can choose to get a breakfast by arriving a few minutes early.

Don't forget to register for the District 5050 Conference that will happen at the beginning of May. It will be at Harrison Hot Springs!

As we have mentioned, our Scholarship Portal is now open to accept applications from 2026 Lake Stevens High School graduating seniors. If you know of a senior who plans to pursue education after high school at a college, university of technical/vocational institution, please invite them to submit an application. The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Co-Secretary, Christine Egelstad know.
Waste Management

Rhianne Janovich, Waste Management was our guest speaker on Friday, 23rd.The core values by Waste Management are sustainability which is a community effort in Lake Stevens. Waste Management contract with the City runs through 2030. There are ten employees in Lake Stevens. The contract with the city includes bulk item pick ups are available along with garbage and recycling. For bulk item pick up, just call the Waste Management office. The life cycles of materials are important to understand because it all ties together to reduce, reduce and recycle.

The Recycling Center in Woodinville daily intake is over 650 tons per day. Recycling matters because their are economic and environmental benefits. If you didn't know this fact, every product we make comes from some material on earth. It's up to us to determine where the materials end up.

 

ADG Visit

Assistant District Governor Jean Seruntine visited our Club on Friday, January 23rd and talked about the District's Board scheduling a Legislative meeting for Wednesday, March 4th at 7 pm to be held virtually on Zoom.  The primary business is to have Club's ratify the following documents:  1) Amended District Policy Manual; 2) Revised District Leadership Plan and Policies and 3) Annual Statement and Report of District Finances for 2024-2025.

Membership Dues
Members- invoices were sent to you for the semi-annual dues and voluntary contribution to The Rotary Fund (EREY). Cash, check, Venmo are all acceptable ways to make that payment. If you have yet to make your dues payment please contact the Treasurer to let him know when you will take care of this. Check your email for the invoice and be part of the Paid group. Thank you for supporting your Club.

The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Friday January 30th, we are meeting at IHOP for a Club Assembly. Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am.
