This Week's Meeting
This week's meeting includes a presentation by Sarah Johnson, the Director of the Farmers Market. She will give an update on plans for this years' markets. We are looking forward to the Markets and participating with the Rotary Booth.

Members should be working on evaluating the donation requests that Tracy DeLorm is coordinating. She has given us a few extra days. Please get your responses to her soon!

The District Conference is completed and was a great event. Make sure to read all about it in the June issue of the Peace Arch Journal. Save the date for next year--first weekend in May. The cost will be considerably cheaper!

The Board Meeting is coming up on Tuesday of next week.

The link to our YouTube Channel is now available on our website and our weekly bulletins. You can view recent online meetings. If you watch any of them, you can count it as a makeup. Just let our Secretary, Gary O'Rielly know.
Lake Stevens Film Festival-2023
Last year was the introduction of the Lake Stevens Film Festival. Our special guest speakers on Friday, May 5th were Laura and Julian Bettelheim, Festival Organizers. In 2022, the City put out a request for a proposal and Laura submitted a proposal for the first Lake Stevens Film Festival which was held last October. The 2nd Annual Lake Stevens Film Festival will be on August 4th & 5th at Lake Stevens High School.
In 2005, Laura was a Senior at Lake Stevens High School and a member of the Natural Highs Network with Steve Pitkin at the helm. As a Club, we pioneered the first Viking Film Festival. That is the start of her interest in organizing the Lake Stevens Film Festival.

Last year, there were 140 submissions for the Film Festival. Screened 30 with $1,500 in prize money. They will kick off the 2nd Annual Lake Stevens Film Festival on August 4th with a Movie in the Park. The children's program will kick off at the event through the Seattle Children's Film Festival. There will be an Art Show as part of the two-day program. Under consideration is a boot camp for kids.

Last year's program was very exciting and something worth seeing in August.
