On Friday, June 26th our Club distributed $20,000 between five non-profit organizations who filed grant request with our Club. Each year, at the end of the current Rotary year, the Club annually distributes fund to worthy non-profit organizations in our area primarily Lake Stevens.

This was a busy week for the Club. Two Community Service Projects occurred on Saturday, June 27th. Bridge Receiving was a project assembling and putting together playground equipment installation. Club members spent nine hours working on the Bridge Receiving project with some work to be completed in next week. The second project was the Club participating in the City's Beautification Project at North Cove park. The Club had five members participating with 17 hours donated on this project.

Five members from the Club participated in the City's Beautification Project at North Cove Park pulling weeds, cleaning up around the park's main entrance. Four members pictures and one absent. Seventeen hours were devoted to this project.
Rand Southam, Public Relations Chair, has been working on new processes for the Cub's website and introduced some conceptual ideas for automating sponsorships, scholarship applications, member onboarding and more. The major emphasis is to shifting our website focus from promoting the Club to highlightling and engaging the local community. Current research results for "Lake Stevens Rotary" shows ClubRunner and District pages, but the Club's presence and calls to action are unclear.
A desired landing page clearly would state who the Club is, where it is, and what it does, with strong calls to action such as join a meeting, scholarships, grants and membership. The suggested platform would be WordPress. Other potential results are adding a Donate button and a Member area for internal informaiton. More information to come going forward with this new concept was encouraged by all of the members present at the Friday, July 26th meeting.
AquaFest-57 years of Lake Stevens pride. One of the Pacific Northwest's largest summer waterfront festivals. Three days of parades, carnival, live music, fireworks, family fun and strawberry shortcake.
Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

July 3rd there will be an informal gathering at The Buzz Inn, 1801 Main St.Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link. There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
