This Week's Meeting

Our featured speaker at this week's meeting is Wen Chen, a PhD of Biology. She will share how Chinese medicine and meditation as an important part of becoming and staying healthy. Dr. Chen was born in China at the end of the Great Cultural Revolution. As a victim of this horrific atrocity that killed two million intellectuals and destroyed traditional Chinese culture she decided to be a voice for the voiceless. Since 2012 she has given hundreds of presentations to community organizations about Chinese culture, history and society.

New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE)

Our guest speaker on Friday, July 18th was Reese Carpenter representing District 5050 and the New Generations Service Exchange program. It's a new Rotary opportunity to grow membership and engage with youth. Reese was District 5050's first outbound NGSE participant in March 2025 where she spent the month in Trieste, Italy.

NGSE is organized District to District and Club to Club to help foster new Rotarians. The program targets the Youth Exchange with emphasis on the older generation. It is a customizable program for university students and professionals up to age 30.

Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. The name is a combination of the words international and action. We join Clubs in over 120 countries around the world. The global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact Club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.

Club Meetings will start again when school resumes in September Contact Mrs. Odegaard for more information!

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. Click here for the online link . There will not be any breakfast served. However, coffee will be available. Visitors are always welcome.
